On July 4th, we hosted a webinar on the benefits of biocontrol for farmers and consumers. We were privileged to have the following panelists join us:

• Mark Waltham (CEO, Certis Belchim)
• Felipe Cortines (Representative, ASAJA (Asociación Agraria-Jóvenes Agricultores) in the European Commission’s Civil Dialogue Groups)
• Christopher Abram (Group Technical and Development Director, G’s Group España)

Moderated by Kristen Sukalac, ABC (Partner, Prospero & Partners, BC Secretariat)

The discussion highlighted how biocontrol solutions can drive sustainability in agriculture, improve the quality and yield of crops, and cater to consumer preferences for safer and more environmentally friendly products. Panelists shared economic benefits for farmers, such as increased marketability of biocontrol-grown produce, and the environmental advantages, including enhanced biodiversity and improved soil health. They also covered regulatory opportunities for biocontrol products in different markets and the importance of consumer education in driving demand for sustainably grown crops. Success stories from farms that have adopted biocontrol methods provided valuable insights.
