The Biocontrol Coalition is happy to welcome COEXPHAL, the Asociación de Organizaciones de Productores de Frutas y Hortalizas de Almería (Association of Fruit and Vegetable Producer Organizations of Almeria) as its newest member. COEXPHAL’s membership reinforces our shared commitment to advancing sustainable agricultural practices through the use of biocontrol.
COEXPHAL represents a significant force in European horticulture, encompassing over 28,000 hectares of greenhouse crops in Almería and Granada (Spain). For nearly two decades, they have been a champion of biological pest control, integrating it as a cornerstone of their sustainable production methods. Their leadership in this area aligns with the Coalition’s principle to advance sustainable agriculture by integrating innovative and environmentally responsible pest management solutions.
In explaining their decision to join, COEXPHAL highlighted:
